Oh yeah, I never did post the results to the lineless/ hard line post.
The majority vote was to do a lineless character. The more and more I looked at it though, i wasn’t very happy with it. So I went back and in and did some tinkering and came up with something I like even more:

well I have been doing some work on my day off… I know, sounds crazy but it has been some fun work. I have been doing some work on my comic project. I finally narrowed down a character design after many many many prototypes and today I decided to lay some color. The colors are not set in stone yet, so they might change. I am more concerned on the coloring style to use. I did the same images in 2 different styles and now I don’t know which one I like more. There are many different things I like about each….. so here we are…

Well, I have actually been pretty busy.

I have been working on this new project for awhile, and I am actually standing behind it full force.
I have talked about it before in earlier posts.
I wanted to make a comic about my life and all the funny things that happen. More and more people have told me that my everyday life is pretty freaking hilarious. Sometimes, I agree.
So I have decided to make this my new project.
I even pulled out my light box, so you know I’m serious about it.
I have decided to call the project Casually Kayla…. Why? Because I have been told that the name sounds like a very boring porno and I thought it was pretty funny. I might change it… who knows… but I seriously doubt it.
So far I have a full cast of characters, with character sheets and color sheets. It actually took me awhile to get those done because I couldn’t come to a clear stand on the character designs. It took me forever to come up with one. I wanted something simple yet complex at the same time. I also wanted to get out of that “anime-ish” thing that everyone is into at this moment. While it would make for a really cutesy art style, I don’t want my comic to be stuck in that genre.
I had a date that I wanted to get this up by, but the issues with the character designs, made me miss my due date. So then I set another date, and that was pushed back by damn UPS. I actually got up some money to buy a cintiq, a monitor that you can draw on. I got the smaller version which still cost me a cool thousand dollars.
So I was all excited for it to be here on April 14 and low and behold, the package gets to Atlanta and then magically disappears. So I have had to file and claim and I’m still waiting for a replacement to be shipped out to me. Makes me sad. All of that has been put on hold, until someone can get me my thousand dollar package. L
So while I wait, I have been coding the website for it and I have also been working on the episodes and story boards. Right now I have a total of 50 episodes. If I update every Saturday, that is enough to keep the readers occupied for a while.
I plan on uploading my sketches on this blog sometime soon. So keep an eye out for all of that
